German Court Issues Landmark Ruling Against Housing Discrimination

A woman was granted a viewing appointment when she used a German name, but rejected when applying with her real foreign name.

Germany’s Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe ruled this was clear discrimination and ordered the real estate agency to pay €3,000 in compensation.
