First: What is TV-Ärzte?

TV-Ärzte is short for Tarifvertrag für Ärztinnen und Ärzte (“collective agreement for doctors”) and includes:

  • TV-Ärzte VKA: for municipal hospitals (Kommunale Kliniken)

  • TV-Ärzte TdL: for state university hospitals (Unikliniken)

  • TV-Ärzte Charité and TV-Ärzte Helios: special contracts for certain institutions
