Authorities in Germany and Switzerland carried out raids last Thursday on 11 properties suspected of being linked to a network selling far-right propaganda materials featuring Nazi symbols such as swastikas and images of Adolf Hitler.
Prosecutors in Göttingen said the investigation focused on a 43-year-old main suspect and five alleged accomplices. Police seized thousands of CDs and vinyl records containing extremist music, as well as keychains, clothing, and stickers printed with swastikas, Reich eagles, and Hitler portraits.
Investigators also found brass knuckles, explosives not available for public sale, and items bearing the logos of banned extremist groups such as “Blood & Honour” and “Combat 18.”
Displaying or distributing Nazi symbols is a criminal offense in Germany, punishable by fines or up to three years in prison. The suspects also face charges related to weapons violations and trafficking in banned doping substances and prescription drugs.
