Sunday Driving Ban for Trucks Temporarily Lifted

Due to the historic low water levels on the Rhine, Danube, and Elbe rivers, inland shipping has been significantly restricted. To mitigate supply shortages, four federal states in Germany have temporarily lifted the Sunday driving ban for trucks. This means that trucks are now allowed to operate on Sundays to increase transport capacity and alleviate the effects of limited shipping. Additionally, the German Weather Service has issued warnings about ongoing heat, which could further exacerbate the situation.
