The second relief cabinet of the German government has decided on new measures to reduce bureaucracy. The aim of these measures is to achieve savings of over 600 million euros. This will be accomplished through the reduction of reporting obligations and the introduction of digital procedures. 'We are responding to crises and adjusting accordingly,' stated Gitta Connemann, chairwoman of the MIT. The government sees these measures as an important step towards alleviating burdens on citizens and businesses, in order to dismantle bureaucratic hurdles and increase efficiency.
