Peaceful Demonstrations on May 1st in Germany

On May 1, 2023, the demonstrations in Berlin were reported by police to have largely proceeded peacefully. Approximately 10,000 people participated in the protests in Berlin, while the number of demonstrators in Hamburg rose to 13,500. However, there were some arrests during one of the leftist demonstrations, indicating isolated incidents, but these did not mar the overall peaceful atmosphere.
