Germany: Heavy Snow Disrupts Munich Airport – Dozens of Flights Delayed or Canceled

Heavy snowfall in Bavaria caused major disruptions to air traffic on Friday. At Munich Airport (München), numerous flights were delayed or canceled.

Airport authorities advised passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

Other airports were also affected: In Nuremberg (Nürnberg), snow removal teams worked overnight, limiting delays. In Vienna (Wien), Schwechat Airport (Schwechat) temporarily suspended operations due to the heavy snow, leading to around 150 flight cancellations. Some flights are expected to resume gradually during the day.
