Authorities in Germany reported the successful defusing of a 250-kilogram World War II bomb discovered in the Brechten district of Dortmund near the A2 motorway.
Around 500 residents were evacuated from their homes within a 250-meter safety zone. The A2 motorway was completely closed in both directions between the Dortmund-Northwest and Dortmund-Northeast exits.
Following the operation, bomb disposal experts neutralized the device, the restrictions were lifted, and residents were allowed to return home.
