Reza Pahlavi urges US military intervention in Iran

Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, has called on President Donald Trump’s administration to intervene militarily in Iran.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Pahlavi said such action could “save lives” and accelerate the collapse of the Iranian government.

He argued that signs indicate the regime is close to falling, adding that “an attack could weaken the government or hasten its downfall.”

Pahlavi told reporters that Iranians hope the United States will eventually conclude that negotiations are futile and that the time has come to act in support of the people.

Iran has recently witnessed its most intense protests and arrests since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
