Zelensky calls Putin a “slave of war” and reaffirms stance on Donbas

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “slave of war” during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.

He stressed that Moscow remains committed to fighting despite international efforts to end the conflict that has continued since February 2022.

Zelensky said: “Putin cannot abandon the idea of war itself. He may see himself as a czar, but in reality he is a slave of war.”
