According to The Washington Post, the United States is presenting two contradictory visions of the global order at this year’s Munich Security Conference, represented by potential 2028 presidential candidates: Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The paper noted that both officials, each in their own way, are addressing Europe’s political class, which is increasingly anxious about the future of transatlantic relations under President Donald Trump’s administration.
