Authorities in Leipzig are dealing with an unusual situation: a group of children under the age of 12 has been linked to around 150 criminal cases. Since the children cannot be held criminally responsible, the police face major challenges.
The incidents include theft, vandalism and assaults, carried out repeatedly across different neighborhoods, causing concern among residents.
Social services and youth welfare offices have stepped in to monitor the children and prevent further offenses. Police described the situation as extraordinary and said it requires new approaches.
