A touching moment unfolded at Cologne’s (Köln) stadium when referee Pascal proposed to his partner Moritz over the loudspeakers, in front of more than 50,000 spectators.
The proposal took place during the club’s annual “Diversity Day” event. Moritz accepted publicly, sparking cheers and applause from the crowd.
Pascal later explained that he wanted to openly express his feelings, noting that since 2022 he has been among the few football officials in Germany to publicly come out.
