Following repeated internet outages on government aircraft, Germany’s Defense Ministry has announced plans to test a stronger and more stable connection to ensure reliable communication during official trips.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz recently experienced a complete service failure on his flight to India, preventing him and his team from following international developments.
The planes, operated by the Defense Ministry, are used to transport top officials including the chancellor, the president, and senior ministers. According to Spiegel, the ministry will now trial a new system to avoid future disruptions.
