Germany has increased its winter aid to Ukraine by an additional €15 million, bringing the total to €85 million, in response to ongoing Russian attacks on energy and heating infrastructure.

In an initial delivery, two mobile power and heating stations were handed over in Kyiv. These facilities are intended to supply electricity and heat to 86,000 people, five hospitals, 25 kindergartens, 13 schools, and nearly 200 administrative buildings.

Development Minister Reem Alabali-Radovan stated that Russian strikes are making life in Ukraine increasingly difficult and aim to force people to flee. She emphasized: “We rely on the resilience of the Ukrainian people and stand by their side.”

Further deliveries of combined power and heating stations, generators, modular boiler systems, pellet heating units, and battery systems are expected to follow.
