A serious security incident occurred in Bavaria on Tuesday when two Turkish men, aged 23 and 24, opened fire on German special forces (SEK) during a police chase.
The pursuit began after police spotted a Mercedes with Dutch license plates. The suspects fled at high speed through several towns before being stopped in Weißenburg. During the chase, shots were fired at police vehicles.
Three SEK officers were injured, along with the two suspects, who were taken to hospital under heavy guard.
