64 police officers injured in German football riots

At least 64 police officers were injured during violent clashes at a German second-division football match between Magdeburg and Dynamo Dresden on Saturday evening.

The Interior Ministry of Saxony-Anhalt, based in Magdeburg, announced on Sunday that officers were targeted with fireworks, barricades, and stones. Outside the stadium, Magdeburg fans also attacked police during halftime, throwing stones and even a manhole cover.
