Deutsche Bank to close more branches and expand AI reliance

Deutsche Bank is continuing the restructuring of its retail banking operations by accelerating digitalization and reducing its branch network in Germany. The move aims to improve efficiency and strengthen digital services.

Claudio de Sanctis, the board member responsible for retail clients, announced that the bank plans to shut down around 100 additional locations by the end of 2026. This follows similar downsizing measures implemented in recent years.
