Selma, a 26-year-old German woman with Bosnian roots, has married Muhammad Akmal, a 22-year-old Pakistani man she first met through the online gaming platform Roblox.
Their relationship began as casual gaming sessions and gradually developed into a deep friendship and eventually love. After months of online communication, Selma flew to Pakistan to meet Akmal in person. Just five months later, the couple tied the knot.
Despite initial language barriers—Akmal spoke little English and often replied with just “Okay”—their bond grew stronger over time, leading to marriage.
