On Saturday evening, around 150 demonstrators gathered at Hansaplatz in front of Hamburg’s central station to protest against the US military attack on Venezuela.
The rally was organized at short notice by a left-wing alliance called “Stop Arms Exports.” Protesters condemned the overnight military operation that led to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, describing it as “imperialistic” and a violation of national sovereignty.
Participants stressed that their action aimed to send a clear political message against the use of military force. Organizers also announced another protest scheduled for next Sunday in the St. Pauli district, where up to 1,000 people are expected to join.
