An international investigative report has revealed the pivotal role of Syrian military hospitals in systematic torture and killings under Bashar al-Assad’s regime. The report exposed that doctors who once worked in these facilities are now practicing freely in Germany, with some holding senior positions.
The investigation is based on the “Damascus Dossier,” a vast archive of leaked documents and photographs from Syrian intelligence services, documenting torture and killings inside prisons. Testimonies from former detainees describe severe abuses at Harasta Military Hospital, which one survivor referred to as the “Hospital of Death.”
