Transport Minister Bilger Plans to Relax Sunday Driving Ban for Trucks

The extreme low water levels on the Rhine and Danube rivers have significantly impacted logistics and freight transport. To address the challenges posed by these extreme water levels, Transport Minister Volker Bilger has announced plans to lift the Sunday driving ban for trucks. This measure will particularly apply to goods that are severely affected by the low water levels. Additionally, Bilger plans to promote rail transport as an alternative solution to alleviate logistical bottlenecks.
