In a recent podcast, it was incorrectly reported that the CEO of Springer, Döpfner, threatened the Chancellor if Merz continued to insist on the firewall against AfD. Both the publisher and the chancellery denied this claim. The RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND) has now admitted that this information should not have been disseminated.
