Research Minister Bär Doubts BAföG Reform Feasibility

Research Minister Bettina Bär has expressed her concerns regarding the planned BAföG reform. Although the Union and the SPD had agreed on an increase in the BAföG rate, Bär does not believe the reform can still be realized. She noted that there is no longer sufficient support within the factions for the initiative, which she considers understandable. This could have significant implications for the financial support of students in Germany who rely on BAföG.
