Söder and Schwesig Reject 1000-Euro Bonus

The proposed tax-free 1000-Euro bonus for employees has been rejected by the Bundesrat. Markus Söder, the Minister President of Bavaria, and Manuela Schwesig, the Minister President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, advise the federal government to withdraw the proposal. Both politicians are calling for a more comprehensive reform instead to better address economic challenges.
