Hamburg Club Imposes “Unprecedented” Punishment on French Star

 

German club Hamburg SV has handed French winger Jean-Luc Dompé an unusual disciplinary sanction after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol and later leaving the police station on an e-scooter. The punishment requires him to provide 10,000 reflective vests and personally distribute them to schools and childcare centers. He was also fined more than €100,000 and suspended for two matches. Dompé issued a formal apology, calling his actions irresponsible.
