German Expert: “Shocking Number” of Warships Needed to Secure 3 Tankers in Hormuz

 

German geopolitical expert Clemens Fischer voiced concern over the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz following the attack on the Thai-flagged cargo ship Mayuree Naree. He stated that securing just three tankers would require a “shocking number” of warships. Fischer added that the continued closure of the strait will keep fuel prices in Germany high for a long time.
