Germany: Woman Steals Gold Chain from Senior Using Hug Trick

 

Police in Berlin reported that a woman is suspected of stealing a gold chain from a woman in her sixties by using the so-called “hug trick.” The suspect approached the victim in a friendly manner, embraced her, and then snatched the valuable chain. Authorities have issued renewed warnings about this type of scam, which has been seen in several German cities.
