Germany: Fatwa Committee Sets Zakat al-Fitr and Fidyah Amounts for 2026

 

The Fatwa Committee in Germany has set the Zakat al-Fitr for 2026 at €10 per person, while the Fidyah (compensation for those permanently unable to fast) is set at €9 per day. The amounts are based on the average cost of staple foods in Germany, with the option to pay more for additional support to the needy.
