German Industry Crisis Threatens 150,000 Jobs

The German employers’ association for the metal and electrical industry “Gesamtmetall” has forecast the loss of up to 150,000 jobs this year amid what it described as a severe industrial downturn. CEO Oliver Zander stated: “We are in the midst of an industrial decline, and the outlook is extremely bleak. The situation is truly dramatic.”
