At an informal meeting of the Baltic Sea Council in Warsaw, German Foreign Minister Johann Fadefull stressed the need for continuous and closely coordinated support for Ukraine.
He stated: “As much as the Gulf region requires our attention, the greatest security challenge facing Europe remains Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine.”
Germany, he emphasized, still considers aid to Ukraine a top priority and wants to be among the “strongest and clearest supporters” in the council.
Fadefull criticized Hungary’s obstruction of the already approved €90 billion EU aid package, warning that such delays deprive Ukraine of vital defense resources and cost lives.
