German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt has announced a new plan to accelerate refugee integration through employment.
-
Under the plan, asylum seekers will be allowed to work after just three months of residence, even before their applications are fully processed.
-
Dobrindt stated: “The best way to integrate is through work.”
-
The Interior Ministry confirmed asylum procedures will continue regardless of employment status.
-
Refugees will not be obliged to work, but those willing can benefit from the opportunity.
-
The initiative is part of coalition agreements and aims to reduce long waiting periods that previously hindered integration.
