Germany is set to face another wave of harsh winter weather in the coming days, with heavy snowfall and sharp drops in temperature, particularly in the west and south.
Snow accumulation could reach 15–20 centimeters in some areas, especially in the Rhine-Main region and the Ruhr area. The German Weather Service (DWD) has warned of slippery roads due to snow and ice, particularly during morning rush hours.
Eastern Germany will remain extremely cold, with nighttime temperatures around Berlin dropping to minus 12 degrees, increasing the risk of severe frost.
Weather models suggest that after this cold spell, temperatures will gradually rise, signaling the end of extreme winter conditions and the start of a milder phase.
