Striker Serhou Guirassy led Borussia Dortmund to a 2-0 home victory over Italy’s Atalanta in the Champions League play-off on Tuesday night.
The match was delayed by 15 minutes due to the Dortmund team bus being stuck in traffic, but the hosts started strongly, with Guirassy heading in the opener after just three minutes.
A second goal before halftime gave Dortmund a solid advantage heading into the return leg in Italy.
The result puts Dortmund in a strong position, as a draw in the second leg would be enough to secure qualification for the round of 16.
