Police in Frankfurt found the schoolbag of an eight-year-old boy who went missing on Tuesday while on his way to school.

The child never entered the Weißfrauenschule on Gutleutstraße, and later his blue schoolbag with an astronaut design was discovered near the school.

Authorities have intensified the search, deploying helicopters, police dogs, and river patrols along the Main, while reviewing surveillance footage. Police said no scenario is being ruled out and urged residents to provide any information that could help locate the boy.
