Police in the German city of Detmold arrested two 18-year-old suspects after clear footprints in the snow led directly to their hiding place.

According to police, the suspects had broken into a kiosk using a manhole cover and stolen tobacco and e-cigarettes.

During their escape, they left behind visible tracks in the snow and dropped part of the stolen goods, making the pursuit easier.

Thanks to these clues, police quickly located and arrested them, confiscated the stolen items, and launched an investigation into possible further crimes.
