German meteorologists issued fresh warnings on Monday about dangerous road conditions caused by ongoing snowfall.
Several states, including Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Lower Saxony, are experiencing severe traffic disruptions.
Police reported numerous accidents due to vehicles skidding and urged drivers to slow down and ensure they are using winter tires.
Pedestrians are also at risk, as sidewalks remain icy. Local authorities have deployed gritting services to improve safety.
Snowfall is expected to continue until midweek, with temperatures ranging between minus two and plus two degrees Celsius.
