German Footballer Sebastian Hertner Dies in Tragic Cable Car Accident

German footballer Sebastian Hertner, aged 34, has died in a tragic accident while on winter holiday in Montenegro.

Hertner, who previously played for Stuttgart, Darmstadt, and Türkgücü and most recently for ETSV Hamburg, was with his wife on a chairlift at the Savin Kuk ski resort.

Reports indicate that the seat of the double chairlift suddenly broke from the cable, causing Hertner to fall about 70 meters to his death.

His wife survived with serious injuries and was rescued after hours of efforts.

The ski center was immediately closed following the incident. Clubs and fans expressed deep sorrow, remembering Hertner as a respected player and person.
