Germany has reported significant progress in integrating asylum seekers into the labor market. Following the introduction of mandatory work programs, the number of refugees employed has doubled within two years.
According to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, municipalities and companies have benefited from the policy, while asylum seekers gained valuable work experience that helped them transition more quickly into regular jobs.
The government considers this a crucial step to reduce dependency on social benefits and strengthen refugees’ independence.
