Germany braces for harsh winter weather – hopes rise for white Christmas after mild December

 

Germany is facing a sudden shift in weather conditions. Following weeks of unusually mild December temperatures, forecasts now predict a sharp drop in temperatures as Christmas approaches.

Meteorological models show the possibility of snowfall even in lowland areas – a scenario that seemed unlikely just days ago. Experts expect Christmas Eve and the holiday period to bring a mix of sleet and genuine snow.

Temperatures are forecast to hover around freezing on the first two days of Christmas, slightly higher in the west and lower in the east and south, raising hopes for a white Christmas.
