Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters have once again made headlines due to a record of violent incidents and racist chants targeting Arabs and Muslims.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced sanctions against the Israeli club’s fans after offensive chants were heard during the Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Stuttgart in Germany.
The penalties include a €20,000 fine imposed on the Israeli club and a one-match ban on its supporters, though the enforcement of the ban has been postponed.
