Essen: Syrian youth stabbed near train station, attacker at large

In Essen, Germany, a violent incident occurred on Sunday evening following a large demonstration marking one year since the fall of Assad’s regime. A 21-year-old Syrian man was stabbed with a knife outside the city’s main train station.

Police reported that those involved were part of the demonstration. A verbal dispute escalated, leading to the stabbing by an unidentified assailant who remains at large.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The homicide division is investigating and has launched an online portal for witnesses to upload photos or videos to aid the inquiry.
