A serious traffic accident occurred Friday on the B472 near Ingenried in Bavaria. A Volkswagen Passat collided head-on with a Hyundai Tucson, followed by a speeding van crashing into the accident site.
The 35-year-old Passat driver suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters using heavy equipment. Four passengers in the Hyundai, aged between 63 and 76, were all seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The van’s driver (37) and his passenger (45) also sustained injuries.
Police estimated property damage at around €45,000. The B472 was closed for more than five hours while rescue teams and accident investigators worked at the scene.
