On Wednesday morning in Vaihingen an der Enz near Stuttgart, a teenage girl deliberately lay down between the railway tracks as a “Metropol Express” train approached at about 110 km/h.
The train driver initiated emergency braking but could not stop in time. The girl remained flat between the rails, and the train passed over her. Moments later, she crawled out laughing and fled the scene, leaving passengers stunned.
Federal police launched an investigation for “dangerous interference with rail traffic” and are searching for the girl, estimated to be between 15 and 18 years old, with shoulder-length hair, a black coat, and dark jeans.
