Six months after Chancellor Friedrich Merz formed his coalition, public satisfaction has dropped to a record low. A poll conducted by the INSA institute for Bild am Sonntag shows that only 22% of respondents are satisfied with the government’s performance, down two points from early November. Meanwhile, 64% expressed dissatisfaction with Merz himself, marking the lowest approval since the coalition took office on May 6, 2025.
