Germany: Interior Minister Links Syrians’ Stay to Integration, Warns of Possible Return to Syria

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt stated that the stay of Syrian refugees in Germany depends on their integration into society and the labor market. Those who integrate and work have a chance to remain, while those who fail to do so may face the possibility of returning to Syria. He also rejected the idea of “exploratory trips” to Syria, arguing that such visits are unnecessary since Syrians can stay informed about conditions in their homeland through relatives and communication channels.
