Survey: Majority of Germans support suspending citizenship for Syrians and call for their return

A recent survey revealed that most Germans favor suspending the granting of German citizenship to Syrians living in the country. Respondents also expressed the view that Syrians should eventually return to their homeland once security conditions allow. The debate over naturalization and return is becoming increasingly contentious in Germany.
