A tragic incident occurred in Hagen on Saturday evening when a 35-year-old woman was attacked with a knife in the street. She was severely injured and later died in hospital.
Police responded to an emergency call, attempted resuscitation, and transported her to hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
Witnesses reported seeing a man fleeing the scene on foot. Police, aided by dogs, later arrested a 41-year-old suspect at a bus station.
A joint statement from police and prosecutors confirmed the man was carrying a knife believed to be the murder weapon. Investigators suspect the case is linked to domestic violence.
